Chevy Equinox EV 2024 Strives for Affordable Pricing & Futuristic Design–
Chevy Equinox EV 2024
The Chevy Equinox EV in 2024 will be significant for the bowtie brand. The electric version of the Equinox is not related to the more well-known Equinox in any way. With a war chest full of outstanding credentials, it fills a market niche that is constantly expanding and appeals to value-sensitive, environmentally conscious families of all sizes.
The all-new Equinox EV is the coveted $30,000 EV that Tesla has yet to materialise, with freshly contoured sheet metal inspired by the Chevy Blazer EV and Silverado EV.
What’s New in a 2024 Chevy Equinox EV?
The Chevy Equinox EV is an all-new battery-electric crossover based on parent company GM’s Ultium electric architecture. It offers seating for five and up to 57 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seats. It arrives at Chevy dealerships in the fall of 2023 as a 2024 model with either a single-motor FWD or dual-motor variant with AWD. There are five trim variants: 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, 2RS, and 3RS.
The base Chevy Blazer EV 1LT with FWD will reportedly start at or around $30,000 before destination and tax credits, making it a smashing deal against comparable EVs like the VW ID.4 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Engine, range, and charging
A single front-mounted electric engine produces 210 horsepower and 242 lb-ft of torque in the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV FWD. It has a small battery that provides an estimated 250 miles of driving range. GM estimates that a larger battery option will increase the driving range to 300 miles.
A dual-motor model with all-wheel grip, 290 horsepower, and up to 346 lb-ft of torque is available across the grade ladder. With the bigger battery, Chevy claims that the AWD Equinox EV has a driving range of up to 280 miles.
All models in the portfolio come standard with one-pedal operation and regenerative braking. The Equinox EV, meanwhile, can accept up to 150 kW of DC fast-charging to extend its range by 70 miles in just 10 minutes.
The optional 19.2 kW Level 2 charger for the range-extended Equinox EV 3RS eAWD provides 51 miles of range per hour of charging. Additionally, the typical 11.5 kWh Level 2 recharger extends the range by 34 miles per hour of charging. According to Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet, “The Equinox EV offers the range to take you where you want to go, the space for your passengers and gear, and the technology to do it all comfortably and safely.”
Exciting Feature Standards
The manual front seats, 19-inch aluminium wheels, 11-inch instrumentation, and 11-inch infotainment touchscreen are all standard on the Chevy Equinox EV 1LT.We favour the 2LT grade, which has a heated tiller, heated front seats, roof rails, a front LED light bar, and a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen that is optional.
More perks are unlocked by the Equinox EV 3LT, including a power liftgate, heated mirrors, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and 21-inch alloys. In addition to heated wipers, a heated flat-bottom steering wheel, and adaptive cruise control, the top-of-the-line Equinox EV 3RS comes standard with a black or red interior.
Features for 2024 Chevy Equinox EV safety
The Equinox EV is loaded with the top-notch safety features you would expect from a contemporary electric vehicle. Throughout the lineup, the Chevy Safety Assist package is a given. It provides automated emergency braking, front collision alert, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, blind zone help, and more. For the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV, GM’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving technology is also an option.

Pricing and additional pertinent details regarding the Equinox EV will be released soon. If Chevy keeps its word, the base Equinox EV should cost around $30,000, with the top-of-the-line 3RS model starting at under $45,000.
