The Ram 1500(DT) returns for the 2023 model year, remaining a benchmark of uncompromising ruggedness, technology, efficiency, performance, and utility within the full-size pickup segment.

Full-size pickup trucks have made strides in the areas of comfort, luxury, and technology, and we have the 2022 Ram 1500 to thank for it. While the pickup comes with an extensive list of available safety features, you are going to need to spend quite a bit to have it all.

The Ram 1500 trucks for 2023 model year also come with active safety systems such as Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Monitor, and Brake Assist. All 2023 Ram 1500 models will now come with the rear seat reminder alert feature, which alerts the driver to inspect the backseat of the vehicle before leaving.

Otherwise, there are fewer changes planned for the Ram Heavy Duty 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks in 2023. The 2023 model year is looking like a holding pattern for Ram, with little to no changes for its broad-shouldered pickup trucks and the ProMaster cargo van.

The Ram lineup largely saw minor changes in 2023, including the introduction of the Limited Elite Package, which features a suede-like headliner, and a handful of extra bed straps.

Other changes to the Ram 1500 for 2023 include a new set of all-terrain tires that are available in an off-road group with the Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited models. Ram HD Laramie, and at least Limited models, gain the ability to choose from Mopars new Sport Performance Hood.

The Ram 1500 Limited (RED) Edition returns for the 2023 model year, but now offers a new UV-C glovebox light, which is activated via a button in the center console. The new Ram 1500 truck line-up for the 2023 model year is going to stay largely the same, but some new trims and features are coming, such as Elite and RED editions, along with a new gauge cluster and new technology.

The 2023 model year saw Ram unveil an off-road-oriented Rebel 2500 Heavy Duty trim for its burly pickup.
The Ram 1500 also has an available air suspension, as well as a smartly-designed Independent Rear Suspension, which makes the 1500 one of the most compliant-riding trucks on the market.

Combine the 2022 Ram 1500s ride quality and roomy cabin with its premium materials, and the truck truly feels like a luxurious offering. The Ram 1500 has no answer to Fords electrified, fully hybrid, or silky smooth turbocharged V6 options, which are all very impressive (as are a handful of innovative features), but we would assume that most truck buyers would not consider them to be such big deals.
