The UFC has scheduled 15 fights for its final pay-per-view event of 2022, including a main event rematch of one of the contenders for Fight of the Year.
The promotion unveiled the main card and complete lineup for UFC 282, which takes place on December 10 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, during Saturday’s UFC Vegas 65 broadcast. Jiri Prochazka defends his light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira in the main event after defeating the latter to earn the belt in a memorable classic at UFC 275.
In the co-main event slot for the 205-pound division, there will likely be a title eliminator fight between former champion Jan Blachowicz and the on-the-rise Magomed Ankalaev. In a featured fight, Paddy Pimblett faces Jared Gordon, who will be his toughest opponent to date, in an attempt to maintain his UFC perfect record.
Robbie Lawler, a former welterweight champion, will face Santiago Ponzinibbio to close off the main event, while Bryce Mitchell and Ilia Topuria, two promising featherweights, will square off to kick off the pay-per-view show.
On the ESPN2 preliminary round, Darren Till takes on Dricus Du Plessis. According to a source with knowledge of the promotion’s plans, Ronnie Lawrence’s withdrawal has left only one gap in the lineup, which will be filled by Cameron Saaiman competing in the early prelims against an unnamed opponent.
