Antetokounmpo is referred to by Doncic as “the best player in the NBA right now.”
Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic faced off in a matchup of two of the NBA’s top five players and two players who are heavily considered for MVP this season way too early.
The Mavericks were once again led by Doncic, who scored 27 points on 10-of-20 shooting and added 12 assists.
With 30 points on 11 of 19 shooting, 11 rebounds, and more help from those around him, Antetokounmpo was a force to be reckoned with as the Bucks defeated them 124-115.
These two players have a mutual respect for one another, and following the game, Doncic referred to Antetokounmpo as the best NBA player.
Enjoy is hard because I want to win, so it’s hard to go against a guy like that,” Doncic said after the Mavericks’ fourth consecutive defeat.
“He’s the best player in the NBA right now. He’s almost impossible to stop. It’s really fun to see him play, but it’s not that fun to go against him.

Antetokounmpo also praise Doncic
“When you play against the best players in the league, being able to say something like that feels good. No matter wins or losses, just being respected by your peers, it’s always a good feeling.”
These two players have been competing against one another for many years, and one day Antetokounmpo may declare Doncic to be the best player in the NBA
