Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown seems to have taken up the problematic baton
The native of Georgia reposted a video on Sunday afternoon that had been posted by Twitter user @PlainJaneDee_ and
showed a sizable throng of Black Hebrew Israelites, some of whom were handing out brochures for
the Radical Hebrew Israelite sect, which the SPLC has labeled a hate group.
“I was not aware of what specific group that was outside of Barclay’s Center tonight,
I was celebrating the unification of our people welcoming the return of Kyrie to the court,
first glance I thought it was a known fraternity the (C/Que’s) Omega psi phi (step’n) showing support.”wrote Brown.
The Celtics star responded to Brown's apparent support for the Black Hebrew Israelites after
a few hours had passed since his quote tweet went live and several articles had been written about it.
