Does 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid Have AWD?

Plenty of fans have expressed the wish that the Ford Maverick Hybrid would come equipped with four-wheel drive

and it is possible that the new three-clutch AWD system is on its way.

A smaller pickup based on the Ford Escape, the 2023 Ford Maverick launched in 2022 with a front-wheel-drive hybrid option

an EPA-rated 37 combined miles per gallon, and an estimated $21,500 starting price.

The base 2023 Ford Maverick hybrid can produce as much as 40 mpg, although Ford has not formally confirmed that number.

The hypothetical is an interesting note, since the entry-level hybrid uses a 2.5-liter I-4, while even the AWD EcoBoost motor is a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4.

Then, the plug-in Escape hybrid is capable of going 37 miles on electric plug-in power

delivering 210 horsepower combined (slightly lower than Fords quoted 221 horsepower in its 2022 version).
