According to the German news agency dpa, 25 persons were detained early on Wednesday as
a result of a series of nationwide searches targeting alleged far-right extremists.
According to federal prosecutors quoted by Dpa, authorities searched individuals -
associated with the so-called Reich Citizens movement in 11 of Germany's 16 states.
Some group members have demanded the overthrow of the government
and rejected the post-World War II constitution of Germany.
The German special forces unit KSK's facilities in the town of Calw in the southwest were
among the places reportedly searched, according to the weekly Der Spiegel.
The unit has already come under fire for potential far-right activity on the part of several soldiers.
Requests for comment were not immediately answered by federal prosecutors.
