How Does Snow Affect Tesla's Autopilot?
One test on slick Edmonton, Canada, roads revealed that Tesla's fully autonomous technology was still a ways off.
The semi-autonomous drive system of a Tesla vehicle that crashed
and killed its driver in May 2016 could not recognise a white semi-truck that was travelling in front of it.
The electric vehicle manufacturer declared in May that it has adopted the Tesla Vision
and will permanently remove radars from Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in
favour of exclusively employing cameras for Tesla's Autopilot and FSD.
The Model 3's rear-view camera appeared to have been submerged in water immediately after
a test drive, although this had no effect on the Tesla Autopilot system at all.
