How Much Cost And Time Tesla Semi Truck Take To Charge ?
The gross mass of a Tesla Semi is 82,000 pounds (37,195 kg)
and a Tesla Semi can haul for up to 500 miles (804 km) per charge
with an estimated up to 1 MWh of its battery that is capable of recovering
70% of its capacity within 30 minutes of charging. Its company also claims
that the truck can reach 400 miles of range in a 30 minute charge using the Megacharger
installed at the trucks base. Musk says a Tesla truck would cost $1.26 a mile
as opposed to $1.51 per mile for a diesel, but also says that an electric truck
would run solely on solar power. Feddersen told The Financial Times recently
that the power required to charge one Tesla Semi in 30 minutes, which was touted
by Musk during Tesla unveiling of the Semi, could power up to 3,200 typical British homes for an hour.
