On the Tesla semi truck, is the Autopilot Mode free?
Every truck has an upgraded version of Autopilot, which enables Tesla Semis to partially drive independently within lanes,
automatically brake in an emergency, and warn you of impending crashes.
Although Tesla automobiles have long utilised the autopilot function, a Semi has never before.
When discussing Tesla's semi, the carmaker refrained from using the term "autonomous driving" but did declare that it
will be fitted with an improved version of Autopilot. Elon Musk actually disclosed earlier this month that
a planned upgrade for August will include fully autonomous functions for the Autopilot system.
His Semi would reach 65 miles per hour on a 5 percent gradient, but modern diesel trucks can only go at a peak speed of 45 miles per hour when fully loaded.
