In a win over the Texans, the Browns' defense and special teams combined for three touchdowns.

However, the game was overshadowed by Deshaun Watson's return from an 11-game suspension.

At NRG Stadium, the home of the Houston Texans, the franchise for

which he had played his entire professional career, Watson took the field.

Watson started at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns this time around, though.

And while Watson and his new team, the organization that pledged a guaranteed $230 million to

him in March, spent the week attempting to shift the focus to football,

the significance of this matchup between two losing teams was neither the game itself or the outcome, a 27-14 Browns victory.

According to N.F.L. spokesperson Brian McCarthy, Watson must continue to

adhere to the requirements of the program or he risked further punishment.
