Why Did They Stop Making Dodge Ram?

A few years ago, a Ram brand was created that separated Dodge vehicles from classic Ram pickup trucks.

The name Dodge Ram was dropped after the 2011 model year, making 2012s the first Ram-branded pickup.

Ram Trucks was established in 2010 as a division of Chrysler) as a division of Dodge, using the Dodge Ram pickup lines name, which is now sold under the Ram banner.

The Dodge Ram truck brand will be managed by the chief of Chryslers Denver corporate center, Fred Diaz Jr.,

who also takes the position as the chief sales officer of Chryslers United States operations.

Because Ram is free to concentrate exclusively on building better trucks and utility vehicles, it produces higher-quality models.

While Dodge will continue making its own vehicles, with an emphasis on muscle cars, SUVs, and minivans, Ram will be the only brand that makes trucks.

If you bought a Ram 1500 pickup in 2022, you could pick from one of two engines that are also found in Dodge muscle cars and SUVs.
